Projects that are on the needles and in our hearts:

Community Knitting

Preemie Hat Challenge:

Member Kristin Coon has a special request for the Rochester Knitting Guild!

In November I had a baby three months premature, she weighed just 1 lb 9 oz (about 6 sticks of butter).
The NICU at Strong nursed her back to health and she continues to do very well today, right now she weighs about 11 and 1/2 lbs.
I would love to ask guild members to knit preemie sized hats and donate them to the NICU on her birthday (11/24).  My goal is to donate 83 hats, one for every day she was in the NICU.

Call for Mittens!

Every year the Rochester Public Library puts out a call for mittens, to be distrubuted with books around Christmas time. The Rochester Knitting Guild has participated in donating to this program for the last several years, and encourages members to particpate again this year!

Guild Afghan - Each year, members are invited to purchase the yarn needed complete a square (pattern supplied) in a friendship afghan. For each square knitted, the knitter's name is entered in the raffle of the afghan.
