Meetings are held at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618. Doors open at 6:30p, meeting starts at 7:00p.

Community Knitting

Free yarn, for use in any community service project, is available at all of our meetings. Needles are also available. If you need any please ask.

Call for Mittens

Every year the Rochester Public Library puts out a call for mittens, to be distributed with books around Christmas time. The Rochester Knitting Guild has participated in donating to this program for the last several years, and encourages members to participate again this year! A free pattern is on the link above, and one for 2 needle mittens can be found here

Call for Mittens, Scarves, Hats, Lap Robes

Many organizations ask for donations of hand knitted hats, scarves, mittens, lap robes, or any other garment or accessory, to distribute at Christmas time. Know that any item you contribute will be more than appreciated and will go where it is needed. Free patterns are all over the internet ~ this is just one link to start with.

Preemie Hats needed

NICU's and hospitals are so appreciative of our preemie caps ~ they love getting them in multiple sizes and in all colors. The link above has several free preemie cap patterns for Community Knitting.

Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club will be collecting anything child size this winter. Hats, scarves, sweaters, mittens anything you'd like to knit. A few free patterns are available on the link above. Other free patterns can be found on the LionBrand site as well as on the Knitting Help site.

Guild Afghan

Each year, members are invited to purchase the yarn needed complete a square (pattern supplied) in a friendship afghan. For each square knitted, the knitter's name is entered in the raffle of the afghan. Check back for updates on this year's afghan ~ Information is here
